In these days of political weirdness in which obvious self promoters are taking center stage, in which retirees from the military, some voluntarily and some not, are treated as they will and eventually will become our new leaders, we have the return to normalcy in the state aggression against the people over some leaky oil pipe. I write leaky because they eventually do and have not had to survive the earth tremors that surely are coming our way and will cause us to exclaim HA! about anyone using the word safeguards.
In the ragged sniff for usura the rights of the indigenous people gets trampled on and the environmentalists are ignored. Bernie didn’t say much and Hillary even less and the Donald not at all as we rape the land in the grand search. Usura.
Protests by the people have been going on daily and about that often ignored by the press, the deranged lackeys of the rich. The election of the Donald has caused the brains especially any nodes containing empathy or reason to freeze up in the people.
And in that barren, cold, ignored by outsiders land, the only moral battle of our time is being waged. Usura.
“Law enforcement officials in North Dakota have deployed tear gas and water hoses against hundreds of activists protesting against the Dakota Access Pipeline.”
“Protesters also reported being hit with rubber bullets and percussion grenades on a bridge just north of the encampments established by indigenous and environmental activists in opposition to the controversial pipeline. “
“Everything you need to know about the controversial pipeline that has become an international rallying cry for indigenous rights and climate change activism”
“They were attacked with water cannons,” said LaDonna Brave Bull Allard, a Standing Rock Sioux tribe member and founder of the Sacred Stone camp. “It is 23 degrees [-5 °C] out there with mace, rubber bullets, pepper spray, etc. They are being trapped and attacked. Pray for my people.”
“The Morton County Sheriffs Department described the incident as an “ongoing riot” and described the protestors as “very aggressive”. A spokesman for the sheriffs department said that law enforcement was spraying water because protesters were lighting fires on and around the bridge.” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/nov/21/standing-rock-protest-hundreds-clash-with-police-over-dakota-access-pipeline
